anyone got any friends that belong in this category?

Covid and Ukraine aside as they've been well and truly done to death on here.

But the same people pushing the above also seem to think nearly every news story is fake or something else.

Volcano other side of the world? didnt happen

Turkey earthquake? didnt happen/us weapon

Chinese weather balloon? didn't happen.

Any space mission ever? didn't happen.

Snowing in Spain? Fake plastic snow (not kidding)

I know 3 or 4 people now like this it's infruriating, what's going on??

Turns out the bloke that filmed it was an illusionist and wanted to fool the world, as opposed to a village hall half full of punters.
I suppose the unfunny geordie duo's film may have been based on it, but have never bothered to watch it (or indeed ANY of the shit they churn out).

One of my daughters let go of a helium filled party balloon we got her for her 4th birthday about 25 years ago, before plastic was required to be biodegradable, so, you never know...

Watched a programme recently about the alien autopsies carried out at Area 51.
Everything was as expected for the era- clock, telephone on the wall, etc.
One of the blokes interviewed pointed these out, arguing that if it was indeed a hoax it was EXTREMELY well done.
Was quite surprised at the end when he was adamant it was all a hoax.
His reasoning? He was the bloke that filmed it in his flat in Paddington.

A certain type of person likes to think they're privy to some secret information that nobody else is clever enough to understand.

They'll dismiss anything in the mainstream media as lies/propaganda, but will believe any old bollocks they read on Twitter.

9/11 was an inside job and aliens being held in Area 51 was/is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth according to some.

Whilst I am in no doubt a lot goes on that we don't know about, I think most conspiracy theory is nonsense.

I've long suffered from being bombarded from a mate that sends videos like this every day thinking that one day I'll see the light.

Latest one is there's a hole in the middle of the Antarctic where if you fly over it you can peer into a lush utopia, with wholly mammoths walking around. It's been covered up since the 50's that's why "no one is allowed to go there"

I always ask why would they lie about it??

A mate of mine at the beginning of the Ukraine war was absolutely certain that the whole thing was an elaborate hoax. Film sets etc. look how realistic saving private Ryan was blah blah blah.

Sent some video of some English conspiracy Chod walking around Kyiv going “look, no people, no war. Can’t even hear explosions”

All at the same time that the rape and murder in Bucha was happening just a few miles up the road.

He’s now reverted to “Zelensky the fucking Jew’s taking all our money” and “Azov are Nazis”

Er….

Covid has a lot to answer for.

Having said all that. I’m increasingly glad I didn’t take that fucking vaccine.
